BoM - Chapter 37 - Journey of Passion
Only after grasping the meaning of staggering power, knowledge, and vigor that the Triforce had bestowed upon him did Link come to realize that he now stood just paces from the twin witches that had plagued the lands of Holodrum and Labrynna, harvesting them in order to light the Dark Candles. Link took his sword from his sheath and eyed the room in which he stood. Pathways extended in virtually every direction. Link took a peek into the rooms in each side, and each of those seemed to branch off into just as many possible halls, the rooms beyond them doing the same, thus creating an infinity of paths in a maze that defied reality. Link was taken aback and virtually shocked into submission by the magnitude of the task before him, but he found solace in the Triforce, however, feeling the surging power in his veins, and so he merely knelt upon the ground and closed his eyes. In a low voice, he prayed to the Triforce, "For the lives of the lands I have grown to love, please, Golden Power,

BoM - Chapter 36 - Anointment of Evil
Donning the Mermaid Suit once more, Link plunged into the Great Sea and began swimming, this time not fearing the tides as before when he had sailed upon the raft only a few days earlier. Link rode the waves like a dolphin, playing alongside the currents and riding the ocean's flows as he made his way towards the small group of islands off in the distance. Link felt a thrill of joy as he swam, the first he had felt in quite some time. As he traveled, a few creatures joined him, shadowing him on either side of him for a while, mimicking his movements in docile play. However, they quickly departed Link's side as the vibrant blue waters gradually turned into a sickly green. Link remembered what Nayru had said, that Veran sealed away an Essence by an impenetrable poison in the sea. Seeing no way around it, Link dove beneath the waves and was thrilled to discover a hidden tunnel of crystal blue flowing through the wall of death, and so Link plunged in quickly, dashing through the narrow pas

BoM - Chapter 35 - The Collapse into Despair
Feeling encouraged that his quest was already halfway over, Link returned to the Maku Tree, seeking its advice to find the fifth of the eight Essences. Though the Black Tower was still growing ominously taller as time passed, the changing past gradually being projected into the present, Link felt a little more comfortable about the situation, feeling as if there indeed was enough time to stop the Gerudo witches from achieving their goal. Despite this, Link still hurried towards the Maku Tree, hoping to seek more wisdom from the guardian of the land. Link approached the tree once again with reverence, and the Maku Tree smiled and directed him northward towards the mountain range in the northernmost coast of the isle, known as the Rolling Ridge Mountains. "There within the sprawling caves of the mountains," the Maku Tree said, "you will find what you seek. The Essence calls from the present, but only through the path of the past will you find your way."
Link left the presence of the tree

Yoll Graveyard, according to the Maku Tree, was where the first of the eight essences were kept hidden from prying eyes. Link nodded and slowly left the Maku Tree's grove, contemplating the circumstances of his future. There was so much ahead of him, and already the circumstances were very grave. Veran appeared to have full control over the flow of time itself. He reflected on all of the strange happenings taking place within the city, but surprisingly he remembered that there had only been an initial flurry of attacks from the past, the rest of history being left alone or otherwise ignored save for the concentrated efforts to complete the Black Tower. Though time was critical, even more so because of Veran's influence over it, Link returned to the inn where Din kept their room waiting so that he could discuss his thoughts and his newly acquired quest with his good friend. Din seemed to agree with Link's premonitions and told him that she would

Din departed Link's side with her quest to find an inn within Labrynna's primary settlement Lynna City while Link headed forth into woods, confident that Impa would sense his presence and come guide him in this foreign land. Link's eyes gazed to and fro, admiring the new land, rich and green with forests covering its hills and valleys while leaving only the meandering passageways of trodden trails untouched by its vegetation. Though Link had not his sword nor shield drawn nor readied in hand, Link remained alert and vigilent with both his ears and eyes listening and watching carefully in their attempt to somehow outwit the clever Sheikah handmaiden and warrior, for rare was such a day when this was even possible. Slowly he wandered through, waiting, listening, watching.
Link's ears were the first to receive such an indication as a loud scream for help pierced the thickness of the forest. Link could tell that the cry came from somewhere close to him, and so he armed his shield and sword

BoM - Chapter 32 - The Candles Beckon
With only General Onox standing between him and the salvation of both the Oracle Din and all of Holodrum, Link returned to Horon Village once more to regain his focus. The villagers there were stricken with awe as he revealed to them the eight Essences which had blessed their lands since time beyond their reckoning of history, and the children were quite taken to touching and holding the delicate gifts that the goddesses had to have given them at the creation of their island nation. Link eagerly spoke to the citizens of the village about recent news, but he was disheartened to hear that, despite the restoration of the eight Essences, without the Oracle of Seasons to bless them with her magic, the seasons continued to be set in chaos.
As Link walked through the village, the Maku Tree caught wind of him and requested his presence, and Link obeyed his command, coming through the wooden gates and standing before his presence without question. There the Maku Tree seemed vibrant with enthusi

BoM - Chapter 31 - General of the Flame
Deep into the Unicorn's Cave Link ventured, fleeing from the crisp autumn winds outside of the cave. Beneath the earth within the cavern walls, however, there was still a constant damp chill, removed only by the occasional presence of a stray fire lit to provide both warmth and light, warding away the presence of an icy death. Some portions of the cave fortunately were heated by natural hot springs, boiling with intense temperature, scalding to the touch, impossible to scale save for conveniently interspersed magnetic monopoles that allowed Link travel once he found a pair magnetic gloves of Goron craft, seemingly a perfect fit for the Hero's calloused hands.
With his new discovery in hand, Link came across a grand hall, large enough to have been used for formal banquets and lavish ceremonies. Pillars lined the rooms, and Link was curious to see a great spiked sphere resting upon the top of one of them, snugly placed between the pillar and the ceiling, balanced with delicate perfection

BoM - Chapter 30 - The Season of Chaos
Also known as "The Oracle of Seasons"
Journeying through the gate along the path that led to the tree's court, Link was awed to see a tree larger than any other he had ever known existed. Much like the legendary Deku Tree, the tree had a face upon it much to Link's surprise, but, alas, it failed to seem alive. Just as Link finally pressed his hand against the rough bark of the tree to see if it was awake, the Maku Tree suddenly arose with a startled shock, not only because of the touch but because of a mysterious emptiness welling deep inside of him, an emptiness that made him aware of the sunken Temple of Seasons. He instantly knew that meant that Din had been captured and taken prisoner, and so the Maku Tree was alarmed at the news, yet Link could still see an uncanny weariness of the tree before him, a weariness that permeated all of its actions. The tree lazily spoke to Link, telling him about the legend of the Temple and of a mysterious artifice which laid there, but he was

BoM - Chapter 29 - A Journey for Answers
A few months passed, and life in Hyrule had been restored to its usual course of peace, villagers happily spending time within the markets free from the fear of tragedy striking them. Kakariko Village by now had recovered from the reign of Ganondorf a year or so ago as well as the kidnapping of Zelda by Vaati, and so an edict was declared that, in memoriam of those who had died at Miakoru Town before the wizard Agahnim had arrived in Hyrule, a new town should be created in the southeast of Hyrule, a town that would be named Espera, ancient Hylian for the word Hope. Zelda and Link oversaw the creation of the new village from time to time, and Link would regularly take off his regal clothing and pick up a hammer with the villagers to build houses for them, working with them to build the town of Espera.
However, when they were neither working in Espera nor visiting Kakariko, Link's desire to learn more of Hyrule's lore continued to gain traction, and that drove Zelda happily to the task o

BoM - Chapter 28 - Heart of a Knight
Zelda and Link left the Chamber of the Four Sword, Link's mind once again intact and whole from the removal of the blade's curse. Already, soldiers from all over the castle had been informed of Zelda's return and of the happenings within the Chamber, and so they clustered about the entrance to the Chamber where Link and Zelda emerged. Slowly, the King made his way through the throng of soldiers and attendants that had gathered, and, having heard of both Zelda's disappearance and just recently her return, a smile permeated his face with such intensity that the emotion sent ripples through the spines of all who saw it. "I have worried greatly for your safe return, and here you are, back already. Link, is her rescue your doing?"
Link nodded to the King in answer to the question, but it was Zelda who spoke first, explaining that which had happened to her, talking about Vaati the Wind Mage and Link's heroic rescue. Link was then questioned about his adventure into the foreign lands, and Lin

BoM - Chapter 27 - The Airborne Citadel
Also known as "Four Swords"
Immediately after leaving the castle grounds, Link and his allies headed quickly northwest into the Lost Woods, following both the Royal Guard's instructions and the trail of destruction that the wind mage had left in his wake. Vaati's presence in the land, however, was all but a memory, Link unable to find any signs of him at all there at the present moment. Link was disappointed at first, fearing that Vaati would not be an easy capture nor Zelda an easy rescue, but it did not discourage him, for the Triforce burned strong within his hand, giving him courage in the dismal dark of the woods, and so Link set forth with the Four Sword in his hand, running through the trees that would lead him to the outskirts of Hyrule's neighboring land, his three companions following behind him.
The Lost Woods slowly gave way into the kingdom of Artesia, the land westward from Hyrule, but the trees did not simply stop at the fringe of Hyrule, nor did the mysteriousnes

Shimmering from upon its pedestal, the Triforce greeted him with unspoken words, words spoken directly into the Hero's mind. "Welcome, Link," it said gently yet forcefully, its voice a perfect paradox of emotion without feeling. "I am the Essence of the Triforce." Link nodded to the three golden triangles and then bowed deeply to it, as if to show the ancient relic all the respect that was due unto it. As Link rose, it began to speak once more. "The Triforce cannot judge between good and evil; it only seeks to fulfill the deepest desires of he who possesses it. Whether for good or evil, the bearer's wish is the Triforce's command. Ganon wished upon the Triforce to conquer the world, and in response, the Triforce gave him unimaginable power through which to break the seal into the Light World, Hyrule as you know it, to make his wish come true. You, on the other hand, have done well to defeat Ganon, Master Link," it continued without any inflection of tone, "and in so doing, you have put

BoM - Chapter 25 - Jewels in the Dark
Walking out the Palace of Darkness with a purpose in the back of his mind, courage flowing through him strongly, Link headed towards the southern portion of the Dark World, over the bridge and into the marshlands that rested there. The soggy grasslands received a good amount of rain, but the red sky above was clear of the dark clouds that oftentimes plagued the land. Link sunk somewhat into the soggy grasslands, his legs becoming wet and his boots slowly filling with water as he trudged through the water-rich landscape to the greenish-grey monolith in the south. Monsters would poke out of the grass from time to time, seeking to block Link's way towards the place of which Aekorra had told him, however they did not last long under the cool steel of Link's Master Sword. He continued towards the mossy structure, surrounded by a small moat, and entered inside; however, to his dismay, he found that he could not advance into the dungeon for he was unable to find any way to climb a tall ledge

BoM - Chapter 24 - The Pendants of Virtue
The Eastern Palace was a place long since abandoned, just outside the eastern bounds of the ancient Hyrulian borders back before the seas had engulfed the world. Since that time, the monsters of the eastern lands had invaded it, seeking shelter from the hot sun that came over their world. It was both advantageous for them both physically but also defensively, for the Eastern Palace was full of traps, and in the grip of Link's enemies, it made the place very dangerous. Switches were everywhere to control the doors, a few trap doors in the ceiling that enabled some of the more clever enemies to drop down upon Link when he approached, and even a few cannons that shot iron medicine balls down corridors. Link found himself retracing his steps many times to get past some of the stickier spots in the temple.
Very common within the walls of the palace were statues dedicated to the various guardians of their tribe, and Link eventually discovered a sextet of statues at the rear of the temple, ap

So first things first...  I've decided, at long last, to finally upload my age-old, uncompleted, fan-novel The Book of Mudora to dA.  It's been too long since it's been hidden from the Internet, and... well... it's nice seeing it back in action here.  Honestly, it's something I should have done a LONG time ago but totally got sidetracked with along the way, but the time is now.  I've got loads of free time, and I might as well make use of it.

I'm uploading it completely "unedited" (that is, it's edited, but I haven't taken another pass over it), so anyone who remembers it from its days on Zelda: The Grand Adventures will find the very same text here.  :)  Hopefully this will bring back many a good memory to those who read it long ago.

Currently, the first 12 chapters of the story are uploaded; I got all the way up to chapter 37 before I stopped, and I'll be uploading them later on.  Will there be more after 37?  WHO KNOWS?

[EDIT: Never mind; I just uploaded them all 37 chapters that I've ever written.  Sorry if I completely SPAMMED your deviantWatch list.  X)]

--

Speaking of winds of change (which, incidentally, is the title for Chapter 13, haha), my life has been full of change of late!  Specifically with the whole job hunt thing that I've been going through.  Man, the last few weeks have been incredibly busy as I've been applying to more companies, juggling schedules, doing programming tests, going through day-long interviews, and then collapsing at the end of the day.

However... that's all over with.  :)

I'm starting my new job next Thursday.  And I'll be working for a company that I've been wanting to work for... for a long time.  So I think I'm going to be very happy here.  :D

Sorry though, that's one of those things I just don't want to announce to the Internet at large; if you know me though, feel free to PM me.  I'm more than willing to share!!

Hi, on your old Zelda blog there was a really well written Legend of Zelda fanfiction, other than your own, do you know if that story is still being updated, or even finished, elsewhere?
